Last Night At Home.

Tomorrow is moving day! I feel SO unprepared, but so ready to go at the same time. I need to finish packing, haha. I'll be leaving tomorrow to drive to St. Louis, & then actually arriving in Kenosha wednesday. First day of school is September 8th!

I feel like I've driven all across Oklahoma this week saying goodbye to friends & family...which is probably a big reason I'm not all the way packed yet. But if I forget something, I can always have it mailed to me...I can't get time with important people back. I'll be up all night finishing my packing, but I would say it's worth it. And thanks to Aryale for giving me an amazing book to occupy my time on my drive. :o)

Alright, time to go pack some more...I can't believe moving day is here! Your prayers are always appreciated, & I'll post again from the Tundra!

New Roomie!

I found out today I will be living with Katelyn & her family! I'm SO excited about this, & was secretly praying for it. Katelyn is also a student at the school this year, & I have talked to her the most out of all of them. We have SO much in common I think we will get along great! She was telling me today that we will have our two beds in the basement & that we also have our own kitchen & bathroom down there...as well as a big screen tv for movie-watching! I can't wait to see it!

I'm feeling much more excited now that I actually feel like I have someplace that I will be able to call home while I'm there. I can't believe I'm leaving one week from today! Prayers for safe travel would be appreciated! And also pray that I get packed in time! Haha!

Four Weeks From Today.

Four weeks from today I am leaving for Wisconsin! Scary! Exciting! Haha! There hasn't been much else to update...I should be finding out any day now where I will be living. I'm ready to know that. It will ease my mind a bit, I think. I hope.

I did find out there are two more Americans coming to school! So that's cool news! I think that totals us at 18 students now. It's so crazy how none of us have ever met & this time next year we are all going to be so close.

I wish I had more to update...hopefully soon.

Change Of Heart.

I can feel that God is preparing me for school. He is changing my heart & opening my eyes to what it truly is to sacrifice everything for Him. I'm scared, but I trust that it will be so worth it. I just feel my whole attitude changing...& it's a much-needed makeover. It's certainly opened my mind up & forced me to realize some things in my life that should change, but I'm trusting God to lead me to where I need to go.

My Mom & Joelle are convinced that I'm going to stay in Kenosha. I haven't even gotten there yet & they just know that I'm going to love it & never want to leave. I'm not so sure. The cold alone may kill me. Haha.

Three more students have been granted their visas, so that's 4/4! Thanks to all who have been praying for them & for me, keep it up because God is answering!

Visas.

All of my fellow students are in the process of applying for their visas. Keep them in your prayers as they present their cases to the immigration offices this week.

Last night was a rough night at work. I thought to myself, "I'm not meant for this. How can people go through life spending endless hours at a job they don't even like?" I suppose everyone dreams to do something they love, but I want to find something I can do to help others. I can't wait to see what God reveals to me while I'm at school.

Meeting My Fellow Students!

After we each got the email listing the names of all of the students, most of us have managed to find each other & chat on Facebook. I've talked to Katelyn (WI), John (England), Lydia (England), Becky (England), Hollee (Canada), & Kelly (England). It's so exciting to finally meet everyone...informally anyway. It makes the whole experience so much more real. So far everyone seems really incredible, & I think we'll make a good bunch. We seem to have alot in common. And it will be nice to have already met a little bit by the time we all arrive...makes it a little less intimidating.

Two Months From Today.

I just got an email from SOW...it has my schedule for the first non-school week & the names of all of the students. There are 6 from England, 2 from Switzerland, 2 from Germany, 3 from India, 1 from Canada, & only 1 other from the US (Wisconsin). I'm the only out-of-state American! I don't know why I find that funny, but I do. I'm so excited to meet people from across the globe!

The international students are still working on getting their visas, so pray that all of that goes smoothly.

There is a staff/student cookout on September 4th where I will get to meet everyone...I can't even say enough how excited I am about that. The 5th & 6th we'll get to meet everyone from the 3 churches, & then the 8th we start school! So crazy! Two months from today I will be starting school!!!
