Change Of Heart.

I can feel that God is preparing me for school. He is changing my heart & opening my eyes to what it truly is to sacrifice everything for Him. I'm scared, but I trust that it will be so worth it. I just feel my whole attitude changing...& it's a much-needed makeover. It's certainly opened my mind up & forced me to realize some things in my life that should change, but I'm trusting God to lead me to where I need to go.

My Mom & Joelle are convinced that I'm going to stay in Kenosha. I haven't even gotten there yet & they just know that I'm going to love it & never want to leave. I'm not so sure. The cold alone may kill me. Haha.

Three more students have been granted their visas, so that's 4/4! Thanks to all who have been praying for them & for me, keep it up because God is answering!

Visas.

All of my fellow students are in the process of applying for their visas. Keep them in your prayers as they present their cases to the immigration offices this week.

Last night was a rough night at work. I thought to myself, "I'm not meant for this. How can people go through life spending endless hours at a job they don't even like?" I suppose everyone dreams to do something they love, but I want to find something I can do to help others. I can't wait to see what God reveals to me while I'm at school.

Meeting My Fellow Students!

After we each got the email listing the names of all of the students, most of us have managed to find each other & chat on Facebook. I've talked to Katelyn (WI), John (England), Lydia (England), Becky (England), Hollee (Canada), & Kelly (England). It's so exciting to finally meet everyone...informally anyway. It makes the whole experience so much more real. So far everyone seems really incredible, & I think we'll make a good bunch. We seem to have alot in common. And it will be nice to have already met a little bit by the time we all arrive...makes it a little less intimidating.

Two Months From Today.

I just got an email from SOW...it has my schedule for the first non-school week & the names of all of the students. There are 6 from England, 2 from Switzerland, 2 from Germany, 3 from India, 1 from Canada, & only 1 other from the US (Wisconsin). I'm the only out-of-state American! I don't know why I find that funny, but I do. I'm so excited to meet people from across the globe!

The international students are still working on getting their visas, so pray that all of that goes smoothly.

There is a staff/student cookout on September 4th where I will get to meet everyone...I can't even say enough how excited I am about that. The 5th & 6th we'll get to meet everyone from the 3 churches, & then the 8th we start school! So crazy! Two months from today I will be starting school!!!

16!

Talked to Kal today...he told me there are 16 confirmed students for this school year (including myself). 13 of the 16 are international students! That's so amazing to me! I'm so excited to meet people from other places, considering I've never been anywhere out of the country.

Looks like my official moving date will be September 1. So pray for that as it approaches! Also pray for the school--they need one more bass player, so pray that God brings them one. Also for the international students as they travel...that has got to be so hard, leaving home & going to another country where you don't know anyone. Keep all of these things in your prayers, & I'll keep you posted as I learn more!
