Calling.

I feel as though I am called to do something huge for God. I've never felt like I could be a missionary in a foreign country. I'm not brave enough. But I've always felt that God has such a special, unique purpose for my life. I really hope that SOW will help me in finding that. I feel that there is a reason that 8 months ago I was given the desire to learn the drums, out of the blue. Any of you who know anything about me know about my passion for music & my inability to find my musical niche. Drums is definitely it. I really believe that God has placed this desire in my heart to be able to serve Him in the way that I see amazing Christian artists (such as Skillet, Flyleaf, Ilia, Disciple, & others) bringing people to Him through their music.

I feel as though I'm only scratching the surface of what God has in store for me.

The Letter

Got my acceptance letter in the mail today.  I start class on September 8th!  There will be an all-church picnic the week before school starts for all the new students to get to know the congregation which will be so fun.  I wish I knew who some of the other people going this year will be!  Soon enough, I suppose.

It all feels so surreal.  I'm ready to get started!

Accepted!

Wow!  First of (I'm sure) many posts.  :o)

I got a call from Kal Bergendahl, the director of Living Light School of Worship today.  After reviewing my application, hearing me play, & talking to one of my references, I am officially accepted for the 2009-2010 school year!  He said he had a great conversation with Todd, my high school youth pastor, & that he has only heard good things about me.  (Todd, if you read this, I will again express my thanks for giving me such a high recommendation!!  THANK YOU!!!!)  I have so many feelings right now...excitement, nervousness, anticipation, & more excitement.

I will probably post once or twice more through the summer as I am updated, but will definitely be doing most of my writing in the fall once I arrive in Kenosha.  I am so ready for this experience to change my life & to actively seek what God has in store for me!
